Free Homeschool MP3

Every month CHEF of LA has a free homeschool MP3 Download available. Signup for wonderful encouragement on your homeschooling journey here, http://www.chefofla.org/page34.html. This will also get you news about what is happening with CHEF of Louisiana.

CHEF Members and STACH members get a $20 discount on a 1 year membership and a $30 discount on a 2 year membership from HLSDA.

Description:

Books-A-Million includes the Books-A-Million, Bookland and Books & Company Stores. Their Community Discount Program gives a 20% discount on anything in the store.

How To Qualify:

Here's what to do:

1. Take your homeschooling credentials to the store.

2. Ask at the counter for the Community Discount Program application form. They may or may not ask for your credentials.

3. Complete the form and leave it with the people at the store. They will mail a card with the name of your homeschool or homeschooling organization printed on the back.

4. Use the card whenever you make a purchase.

Waldenbooks

Description:

A subsidiary of Borders, Waldenbooks 20% discount applies to the list price of books, music and videos purchased in a Borders store for use in the classroom or for classroom preparation.

How To Qualify:

To get the 20% discount, you must get a Classroom Discount Card.

1. At your local Borders or Waldenbooks store, ask for and complete the Classroom Discount Card application.

2. They will ask for, and you should have available, any applicable state certification. Homeschoolers in states without certification should contact a manager at the store for instructions on how to document your status as a homeschooler.

3. They will issue you the card in the store. Present it at checkout to receive your discount.

Barnes & Noble - Parkdale Mall

Description:

Barnes & Noble offers Pre K-12 educators, librarians and homeschoolers a 20% discount off the publisher’s list price on most hardcover and paperback books for use in the classroom. The Barnes & Noble Educator Discount Card is accepted at: Barnes & Noble, B. Dalton, Bookstop, Bookstar, Doubleday, and Scribner's.

How To Qualify:

To get the discount, do the following:

1. Print out and complete the Barnes & Noble application. Or, visit your local store and ask for the Educator Discount Card Application.

2. Take it to a Barnes & Noble store and present it along with proof of your educator status to one of the store staff.

3. They will issue you a Barnes & Noble Educator Discount Card

Thereafter, to receive your discount; you must present your discount card and valid photo ID at the time of purchase.

1. Call your local store and ask what homeschooling credentials they require in order to qualify for the Teacher Discount Card. The requirements may vary from region to region.

2. Take your homeschooling credentials to the store, ask for, and complete the Teacher Discount application.

3. When you have your card, you can used it at any Jo-Ann store or online to get your teacher discount.

Description:

FedEx Kinko's offers teachers, home educators, professors, faculty, and staff members 15% off on most products and services at participating FedEx Kinko's nationwide.

Unlike other educator discount programs, the Educator Savings Program has no limit on the savings you can acquire each quarter and each year. You can opt-in to receive special e-mail messages from time to time with information and special offers geared specifically to educators.

How To Qualify:

In most cases, you can simply ask for the educator discount at check-out.

However, to be certain that you get the discount, we recommend that you get a discount card directly from FedEx Kinko's in advance. Click here to apply for a card online. Complete the simple online application. Your card will be processed and mailed to you within 7 to 10 business days.

Once you have your card, simply present your discount card when making a purchase in-store or at fedexkinkos.com and the discount will automatically be applied.

The process is quick and easy.

Michael's Teacher's Discount

A Special Discount for teachers, 15% off of your entire purchase every day. Some restrictions apply. See your store associate for details. You may use your HSLDA card or your SWLA CHEF membership card as your teacher ID.
