The SWLA Homeschool Yearbook is for all homeschoolers in SWLA.

 

       A brave mom has stepped up to take over the yearbook for SWLA Homeschoolers.  I am so happy that the yearbook will not fade away.  Many of our students enjoy the books and they are a keepsake.  Angela Brown and her daughter Amaris will be learning to take over completely for next year's book.  I am helping Angela this year and I will be the business manager for the yearbook staff.

 

        We are getting a late start with our individual photos for the class pages.  So, we are going to hit the ground running for the next couple of months.

 

        We do have our first photo session set up for October 31, 9 am to 12 pm at the Monday co op.  This co op is located at Moss Bluff Bible Church on Parish Rd, in Moss Bluff.  Mr. Danley Romero has volunteered his time to help us again this year.  He will be offering two packages that you may purchase of your child/children. Packet A - 2  8x10; 4 5x7; and 16 wallets for $46.00. Packet B - 1 8x10, 2 5x7; and 8 wallets for $26.00.  There is NO COST to have your child's photo taken for the yearbook., this is FREE.  Mr. Danley will also be taking senior photos in a cap and gown.  If you have your own cap and gown, please bring it on this day. If not, we will have one available for use. 

        Mr. Danley will do a second session at his home in Sulphur, sometime in the first part of November.  I will get that info. out just as soon as a date and time are set.

 

    Cameron Durham is volunteering his time to take photos on December 1, 2011.  This will be at the KC Hall, 3828 Ernest Street, Lake Charles, La.  Time is from 4 to 6:30 pm.  This will be the last photo session that will be offered by the yearbook staff.  Please enter through the front door of the hall, facing Ernest Street.  Mr. Brent's classes will be in session and I do not want to disrupt class.  I will have a sign on the building instructing which door to enter.   Cameron will be offering student/students' photos for sale through email.  These are very affordable.  Photos taken for the yearbook are FREE.

 

       If you would prefer to submit your own photo, information on how to upload your photos and deadlines are forthcoming.

 

       We will soon be handing out order forms for the 2011-2012 yearbook.  Books will cost $31.25 ea.  Family pages will once again be $25.00 a full page and $15.00 a half page.  If you would like to get your check mailed now for a book or family page, simply put on paper your name, address, phone number, the number of books and if you would like a family page.  Make the  check payable to Cheryl Matz, 232 South Presidential Circle, Lake Charles, La 70611.

 

       We need to know how many Seniors would like a senior page, this is free. We also need to know how many GROUPS/CLUBS, SPORTS TEAMS, GRADUATION CEREMONIES,ETC would like a page or half page. Deadline is December 15th to notify Angela at brownpat25@yahoo.com or cherylmatz2002@yahoo.com.   We will planning the layout of the book in December and need this info. asap.

 * Seniors* we need your baby photo for the Who Am I Page, deadline February 29. These photos need to be jpg formatted. You may have to scan your photo and convert it to jpg. You can then upload at the link that is listed on the flier or put it on a cd and mail to Angela.

*Family Pages* Payment is past due. If you have not paid for your page please mail your check asap. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at cherylmatz2002@yahoo.com. FAMILY PHOTOS: Photos for your family page are needed by the 29th. If there is a reason you can not get your photos uploaded by then please contact Angela at brownpat25@yahoo.com or you can contact me.

We would love to have photos from field trips, bowling days, skating days, if your child is involved with any sports, dance class, etc..

Please get your yearbook orders in soon, each book is 31.25 and family pages are 25.00. Information where to mail your order and to whom is on the flier.
