Chef of LA: our parent organization. Their headquarters are in Baton Rouge.  It is a great source of information on homeschooling issues.
National Home Education and Research Institute: Offers statistics, research, and technical reports on home education.
Southern Baptist Church and Home Education Association:  The SBCHEA hopes to serve as a national voice for homeschoolers in the denomination.
Southeast Texas Home School Association – Our neighbor organization in Houston.

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Homeschool Group (STACH) consists of Catholic families from all over the southwest Louisiana area.  Our group is made up of veteran homeschoolers and those who are new to homeschooling, we offer support, encouragement, and information on homeschooling.  Parents volunteer to organize field trips, events such as; All Saints Party, Back to School Mass, St. Joseph's Table and Epiphany parties, park days and co-op classes.  If you are interested in joining the STACH group you can contact Cheryl Matz or Lorena Romero

GRACE Homeschool meets the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at Westview Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. We have numerous clubs and activities for members to participate in throughout the month (Homeschool 4-H, Clover Buds, Home Ec., Book Club, Speech Club, Mom's Night Out, Science & Social Studies Fairs, Field Trips, etc.). Free 1 Year History Curriculum
This free history curriculum was originally written for the target age of eight to nine (3rd grade) but can easily be used and adapted for other grades and ages. The easiest grades to adapt for and use our curriculum in are 2nd-6th grades. It is also an excellent supplement to any other history curriculum (for a variety of ages) with plenty of "gravy" like worksheets, printables, links, extra reading, crafts, activities and more. Red Wagon Tutorials

Steve Rosenoff has been teaching Apologia Science courses full-time for The Potter’s School and Apologia Academy. Last year he felt led to start a new ministry. In addition to his live courses, he now offers thirty-two class lecture series, which are ninety minutes in length, recorded on DVD.
